WILL YOU SOURCE MY PLACE CARDS, ENVELOPES, OR OTHER MATERIALS?
When working with me for custom calligraphy, my clients are responsible for sourcing their own materials. For things like place cards and envelopes, this ensures that you are ordering exactly the size and color that you want. This also enables you to get creative with your materials (and I LOVE writing on surfaces other than paper!) I’ve had clients bring me marble tiles, agate slices, and leather luggage tags to personalize for their guests. Who said place cards can’t double as your party favors?!

MY VENUE IS IN CHICAGO - CAN YOU DELIVER MY SIGNAGE OR SHOULD I PICK IT UP?
I provide delivery for all of my mirror rentals in order to ensure they are not damaged in transit/set-up. The rental fee includes the charge for delivery, which varies based on venue location. If you opted for wood signage or one of my acrylic rentals, you are more than welcome to pick it up and avoid the cost of delivery!
MY VENUE HAS MIRROR/GLASS/CHALKBOARD SURFACES ON-SITE. CAN YOU USE THESE FOR CALLIGRAPHY?
I love going on-site for projects! With permission from the venue, I can put signage on any surface imaginable! The markers I use are removable with all-purpose cleaner, so they can easily come off after your event.
I HAVE MY OWN MIRROR THAT I WANT TO USE FOR MY SIGNAGE - CAN YOU WORK ON THAT?
Absolutely! I ask that all materials you are providing be dropped off no later than 2 weeks before the event, and picked up once they are complete.
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
Each project I work on is custom, so pricing can vary depending on the needs and parameters of my client. In general, place card calligraphy starts at $2 and envelope calligraphy starts at $3. Seating charts have a set-up fee that starts at $150, plus guest names starting at $2 each. The best way to get a quote is to contact me!
DO YOU WORK WITH CLIENTS OUTSIDE OF THE CHICAGO AREA?
Although I am very loyal to my city roots, I love sharing my work with people and companies across the country. The only thing that I can never ship are mirrors - no matter how much bubblewrap you use, they never arrive in one piece!
WHAT IS YOUR INQUIRY TO DESIGN TIMELINE?
Most TCC clients reach out about 4 months before their event date. If you’re way ahead of that, or way past that, don’t worry! While it’s always better to book me in advance to secure my availability, I have taken on projects just three weeks before the event. Of course, this all depends on my schedule and workload - the best way to find out is to submit an inquiry!
Generally, envelope and place card orders take about 2 weeks to turn around (for a batch size of 100). Seating charts and escort cards also take about 2 weeks to turn around - this process begins as soon as you have your RSVPs back and seating arrangements finalized (2 weeks before the event, at the latest).
For all calligraphy work, clients are provided with one digital proof of the design before production begins.
